Construction
On a construction site, a design or execution flaw makes you liable for ten years after handover, and an incident (stolen equipment, bad weather, a vehicle accident) can halt the works overnight.

Frequently asked questions
Is Decennial Liability mandatory for every trade on site?
Yes. Any activity involved in building a structure (foundations, frame, envelope, inseparable fixtures) requires decennial liability cover before work starts, under French law (Code des assurances, art. L241-1).
Do I need Contractor's All Risk on top of Decennial Liability?
Decennial Liability covers your liability once a defect appears after handover. Contractor's All Risk covers physical damage to the works during construction itself, a different, complementary need.
Are my utility vehicles covered by my decennial liability policy?
No, these are two separate covers. Vehicles and site machinery need a dedicated fleet policy, mandatory from your first professional vehicle.
